School of Architecture and Design offers a multi-disciplinary study of creation that integrates art, science, and technology to make built environments and objects. Our international programs synchronize with current context and technology while experimenting with a novel design. A balanced combination of theory and practice constitutes a series of courses and studios that strengthen core knowledge and design skill. Our student body comprises 60% of international students from more than 30 countries. Naturally, students are immersed in a multicultural learning environment within a truly international University, preparing them to thrive as global citizens. The School’s active collaborations with professionals and the architecture and design industry also broaden students’ horizons and enhance opportunities in securing jobs as architects, designers, and design entrepreneurs.
Nataporn holds Bachelor of Architecture (First Class Honors) major in Interior Architecture at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand and Master of Arts in Design for the Environment (spatial design) program at Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, UK.
Her professional practice in interior design field started with a notable international design firm, WoodsBagot (Thailand) in 2002. The firm offered a great opportunity to work and practice with various type of projects and international professional teamwork. In 2004, Nataporn turned professional career into academic field as a lecturer in department of interior architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat university, and started teaching in interior architecture program at Assumption university since 2012. Along an academic career path, Nataporn has worked parallelly as a designer, collaborate with TINT Design Studio in various projects. The great chanced to work collaboration with Architects team, Alchemist design studio and Massive design company for design competition, a new Head office of Architect Council of Thailand had got the first runner award in 2008 and 1of 5 finalist team in Council of Engineers new building design competition in 2019. Her integrating knowledge and experience in design field has passed on to the students through teaching techniques and methods in the valuable issues of inspiring experimental process. Through the lens of the design industry, her interested research is to explore in spatial experience design, adapting alternatively materials and tools in different perspective of people, places, and their community.
